Thoughts of a Flowertot…Australia – Sydney (with Compact Camera Snaps)

(Part of a series of articles by Fi trawling the archives for photos taken on the tiny compact camera way back when).

After a spot of freedom camping roadside with Colin & Julie we bode farewell to their little green camper and headed into Sydney. Then we hit the traffic. Oh joy! We had almost forgotten that other people actually use the roads, and here they all were. After so much space and freedom I was worried that I would find Sydney to be a claustrophobic city. Instead we fell in love with Sydney and all it has to offer and this is in no doubt thanks to my awesome Aussie family.  We ditched our crappy campervan and proceeded to be spoiled rotten with a place to stay (a bed without wheels for a change), treated to amazing meals and nights out and just generally made to feel at home – a feeling that is fantastic after 8 months on the road!

We also managed to catch up with Rob & Gilly a few times throughout the week giving us lots of opportunities for cake and cocktails. See Paul’s earlier blog here for more info on Sydney but here are a few snaps from our wonderful time there…
