Funnily my memories of Lima centre around food, cable TV & our little group of friends we made at the hostel. A short walk away we found Huaca Pucllana, the archaeological site of an adobe pyramid nestled within a housing estate in Miraflores. The central town had the usual offerings of Plaza’s & Cathedrals including the beautiful Convento San Francisco with catacombs holding the remains of over 25,000 people. Photographically my favourite experience was the Parque de la Reserva, a water park which we visited at night to experience illuminated. It lovely to see the locals playing and enjoying the installations, jumping between the randomly timed water jets and trying to stay dry.
